Landscape as a Process
Process can be defined as a sequence of stages that either create, change modify or change something.
Landscaping is a process which works to sort out the clients needs and desire as well as the assorted characteristics of a
specific site and fit the two sets of characteristics together.
Landscape project development the process.
1. client develops a needs or series of objectives to be accomplished on a specific timeline.
2. designer(architect) is contacted and design is developed through the design process.
3. client accepts design (project) and it is assigned to contractor
4. contractor arranges for the materials and labor necessary to complete the project
5. project is built and installed usually with the monitoring by either the designer or architect so that it meeting the specifications of the design.
6. acceptance by the client of the final project
7. separate maintenance may be desired
Maintenance is a process which sets up a sequence of actions and activities that will provide continuing maintenance for the landscape project.
1. client determines the quality or set of services he or she is unwilling to do themselves
2. company to do the landscape management is selected.
3. maintenance company asses the needs of the client and presents a proposal, which may be modified or accepted
4. work is carried out on schedule and client is billed at agreed upon regular intervals
5. regular meetings are set up to check with the client to review work and to allow for changes and upgrades
